Dr. Tanner has been taking care of professional motocross athletes for over 12 years.

We have tailored our practice to focus on all orthopaedic needs for athletes in professional motocross/supercross, professional off-road racing, professional downhill racing, bull riding, MMA, professional stunt performers, and more. We continue expand what we offer due to demand and continued life long research in the science of sports medicine.

To further our dedication to athlete safety, we have started a 501(c)(3) non-profit, SOS (Safety On Site), to assist in event safety, provide orthopaedic and medical coverage as well as on site portable X-ray services for many sporting events. sosmedteam.com

Upper Extremity Fractures/Injuries

Dr. Tanner is ABOS board certified in orthopaedic surgery and fellowship trained in hand and upper extremity surgery. We have fine tuned our techniques over the years to account for safe early return to one's sport.

We utilize a combination of minimally invasive techniques and innovative implants to allow early return-to-play and decreased recovery time.

Orthopaedic Care

Dr. Tanner is able to offer a wide range of operative and non-operative orthopaedic care that goes beyond upper extremity. Our goal is to be your primary source for early access to an appointment with appropriate triage, treatment, and/or referral. If it is a surgery we don't specifically offer, we will get you into the office of another outstanding orthopaedic specialist that shares our passion for taking care of extreme athletes.

Dr. Tanner has a nationwide network of colleagues in many subspecialties, including orthopaedic, neurosurgical, chiropractic, medical, and pharmaceutical. As demand has increased, we plan to offer orthopaedic concierge (ORTHO VIP) services for a reasonable annual rate.

This service will provide athletes direct access to Dr. Tanner for all orthopaedic and most medical needs. We will provide a comprehensive approach with advice on hydration, nutrition, recovery, injury prevention, medications, orthopaedic treatment/triage, surgical treatment, orthopaedic subspecialty referrals, and much more.

Portable X-ray (Micro-C)

Micro C’s impressive sharpness, incredible clarity, and miniscule radiation profile (lowest in the market) make existing x-ray imaging devices obsolete.

Dr. Tanner is excited to announce we have purchased the world's first state of the art portable dynamic digital x-ray machine. Dr. Tanner is the first to bring this technology to the state of South Carolina.

We are using cutting edge technology to elevate the care of athletes, providing x-ray services at events and even at one's home. This will enable rapid point of care x-rays, live DDR motion studies, and x-ray guided injections.

We are happy to announce our partnership with OXOS Medical and the Micro C. Tanner Orthopaedics has become an OXOS Center of Excellence! The Micro C will change the way X-ray is utilized in remote areas.

PRP

Dr. Tanner offers platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections that harness your own body's healing potential to accelerate the healing process for various ailments including post traumatic arthritis, tendonopathies, injuries and other inflammatory processes. Arm Pump Surgery

Dr. Tanner offers endoscopic forearm fasciotomy for chronic exertional forearm compartment syndrome (arm pump). Via one small incision, both the volar and dorsal compartments can be released decreasing recovery time and allowing early return to one's sport. Picture above is only 14 days post op!

IV Therapy

Dr. Tanner is pleased to offer IV vitamin therapy services including Myers cocktail, Glutathione, NAD +, B12 injections, and more. We will offer this at various events as well as part of our mobile medical services. Available now!
