Immediate access for urgent race related injuries is nearly impossible to find.  Imagine this common scenario.  You are in the ER with an acute injury.  You are worried about the severity of your injury, how long it may take to heal, when or if you will be able to ride again.  All the while, the physician taking care of you can't understand why you continue to be in this sport and even lectures you and or your parents about giving it up completely.  This is a common story for many riders, not to mention they are usually in a poorly equipped ER in a rural location that is not equipped to handle your injuries.

With our ORTHO VIP program, you will have the personal number of Dr. Tanner and you will be able to talk to him or his assistant about your injury.  He will walk you through what to expect as well as how to address your specific injuries, recovery time, specialist referral, etc.

Dr. Tanner can review your imaging studies, medical records, and render an opinion for your care.  This is included in the VIP membership, however even if you are not a VIP member, this can be done for a reasonable one time fee.

Dr. Tanner will coordinate and talk to the local physicians to help streamline your care.

Dr. Tanner has a very large nationwide network of specialists that he can help guide you for follow up, if you live too far from our office or if its a specific surgery we don't currently offer.

Dr. Tanner can also help coordinate ordering imaging studies, physical therapy, prescribe medications and order labs out of state.  This saves you precious time and money.

If you live within driving distance of our office, we will get you an appointment ASAP.  We can evaluate all injuries, quickly order appropriate tests such as MRI, CT, ultrasound, labs etc.  It can sometimes take weeks to get an appointment much less an imaging study ordered through traditional channels.  We understand time is of the essence!

If you attend the GNCC series, we are at every race for excellent continuity of care.

Dr. Tanner also has a portable x-ray machine (Micro-C) that allows mobile x-rays to be taken, further cutting down on time to treatment and diagnosis.

A portable ultrasound will be purchased this year.
